How do I add my insurance plan manually?
Go to Insurance in your account and add a plan. Upload your policy document or summary of benefits as a PDF (up to 20 MB). rekupr reads your coverage details from it, which usually takes about a minute. Adding insurance is free.
Can I type my plan details instead of uploading?
Yes. You can enter or correct your plan name, plan type, insurer, group number, and member or policy number, your deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums in and out of network, your coinsurance and copay, how much you have spent toward your out-of-pocket maximum this year, and coverage for specific services.
Why does rekupr ask me to check my plan details?
After we read your policy document, check the details before we use them. A wrong deductible or copay leads to wrong findings, so correct anything that does not match your plan.
What if my insurance plan comes from my employer?
If your employer added your plan on rekupr, it shows as your employer plan. Contact your benefits team to make changes to it.
Do I need to add insurance at all?
No. rekupr checks your bill without it, and you can mark a bill as not going through insurance when you upload. Adding your plan lets us check how your deductible, copay, and coinsurance were applied. After you add it, you can re-analyze a bill with your insurance from its results page.
