- What types of documents can I upload?
- rekupr can analyze hospital bills, doctor visit bills, lab bills, EOB (Explanation of Benefits) statements, and most other medical billing documents. We support PDF and common image formats.
- How do you find billing errors?
- We run every bill through a proprietary rules engine built on licensed medical-coding databases (CPT, ICD-10) and established billing regulations. It checks for duplicate charges, upcoding, unbundling, balance-billing violations, and other common errors that cost patients money. We do not train on your documents.
- How is rekupr different from free AI tools like ChatGPT?
- General AI tools can read a bill, but they may hallucinate medical codes, cannot reliably cross-check your EOB or insurance plan, and are not HIPAA compliant. rekupr uses licensed CPT and ICD-10 databases, a 35+ rule billing-error engine, and HIPAA-compliant infrastructure built specifically for medical bills.
- Is my medical information secure?
- Yes. We use bank-level encryption for all data transmission and storage. Your documents are processed securely and we never share your personal health information with third parties. You can delete your data at any time.
- What if no issues are found?
- If our analysis finds no issues with your bill, you'll see that in the free preview and can decide if you still want the detailed breakdown. The full analysis includes CPT code explanations and fair price comparisons even when no errors are found.
