What is an EHR (electronic health record)?
An electronic health record, or EHR, is the system your hospital or doctor uses to keep your visit notes, diagnoses, orders, and test results. Your patient portal, such as MyChart, is your window into that record.
Why would rekupr read my electronic health record?
Your record shows what happened at your visit. Comparing it with your bill can show services billed but not recorded, or a visit billed at a higher level than the record supports. Findings backed by your record are marked as documented.
How do I connect my health record?
Where it is available, you can connect your record from your bill's results. You sign in to your health system's patient portal, and rekupr never sees your portal password. Support depends on your health system. If yours is not supported, you can upload a record you downloaded yourself, as a C-CDA file or a PDF.
How is my health record protected?
Your record is encrypted and read only to check your bills. Nothing is changed in your health system. The raw copy we read is deleted when you disconnect (within about an hour) or after 90 days, whichever comes first. Records that support a finding or a case stay until you delete that bill or your account. You can disconnect at any time from Settings.
