What happens after I upload my bill?
After you upload, rekupr reads your document, checks that it is a medical bill or an EOB, pulls out the charges, codes and amounts, and then checks them for problems. The processing screen shows each step as it happens: In Queue, Reading Document, Verifying Document Type, Understanding Your Bill, Checking for Issues, and Complete.
How do I know when my results are ready?
The processing screen moves to your results on its own once the analysis finishes. After you upload, we also email you to say your analysis is ready. To protect your privacy, that email says nothing about your bill. Sign in to rekupr to see your results.
What if the upload fails or the document is hard to read?
If the file is not a bill or an EOB, or we cannot read it, we tell you after the upload and you can try a different file. A PDF from your provider's online account, an itemized bill, or a photo taken flat in good light with all four corners showing usually works better. If some checks could not be completed, your results say so.
What can I do after my results are in?
Read your findings in the In simple terms view, open the Detailed view for every line item, and ask rekupr about anything you do not understand. Adding your EOB or your insurance plan after you upload gives a deeper check. When you are ready to dispute a charge, you can start an appeal from your results.
