You've uploaded your first bill — great! Here's how to get even more value from reKUPR.
Ask reKUPR — AI Chat
The "Ask reKUPR" button on your results page opens an AI chat assistant. Ask questions about your specific bill in plain English — charges, codes, line items, or anything you don't understand. Answers are grounded in your actual bill data, so you get specific, relevant explanations.
Provide Context During Upload
When uploading, use the optional "Additional Context" text box to describe your situation. For example, mention the procedure you had, a charge you're concerned about, or what your insurer told you. This helps reKUPR generate more targeted findings and a dedicated Patient Concerns section in your results.
Upload Your Insurance Policy
For even deeper analysis, you can upload your insurance policy document. reKUPR uses it to check coverage details and identify potential coverage-based issues that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Medical Term Tooltips
Throughout your results, medical terms appear with tooltip indicators. Hover over any highlighted term to see a plain-English definition — no need to search elsewhere.
Upload Bill AND EOB Together
For the most complete analysis, upload both documents using the dual-dropzone upload area:
- Medical Bill — The invoice from your provider
- EOB (Explanation of Benefits) — The statement from your insurance
When we have both, we can compare charges side by side, identify processing errors, catch insurance mistakes, and give you a complete financial picture.
Appeal Case Companion
Found an issue worth disputing? The Appeal Case Companion guides you through a multi-step process:
- Review the issue — Understand what was flagged and why
- Gather evidence — Companion helps you build supporting documentation
- Generate your appeal — Get a professionally worded letter
- Customize and download — Edit to your needs and save as PDF
Appeal letters include proper medical terminology and cite relevant regulations when applicable.
Line Item Corrections
If reKUPR's extraction missed something or captured a value incorrectly, you can correct individual line items directly on your results page and re-analyze. This ensures your analysis is based on accurate data.
When to Use Re-Analysis
Re-analysis is useful when:
- You receive an updated bill or corrected EOB
- Your initial upload was missing pages
- You've corrected line items and want updated findings
To re-analyze, find the bill on your dashboard and click "Re-analyze." Your previous analysis is preserved for comparison.
