What information does rekupr keep?
The documents you upload, any medical records you choose to connect, and the plan details, claims, and EOBs we bring in if you connect your insurer account. We never store your insurer password. We also keep your name, email, and sign-in method, your conversations with the assistant, payment confirmations from Stripe (never your card number), and basic usage data. Your personal information is never sold or used for advertising.
How long does rekupr keep my documents?
- Original files: your original bill and EOB are deleted automatically within 3 days of processing.
- Your analysis: the details we extracted and our findings stay in your account with no time limit. Deleting a report permanently erases it within 2 days.
- Medical records: the raw copy we read from a hospital portal is deleted when you disconnect (within about an hour) or after 90 days, whichever comes first. Records that support a finding or a case stay until you delete that bill or your account. Deleting a case does not delete them.
Who can see my information?
Other users can never see your documents. Authorized team members can view an account for support or security, but that access needs a recorded reason, is read-only, and is logged.
How is my information protected?
We use encrypted connections, encrypted storage, and restricted access, and sensitive details in your analysis are individually encrypted. We read your documents with Google Cloud's Vertex AI through its US-only endpoint, under our Business Associate Agreement. rekupr is not a HIPAA covered entity, but we voluntarily apply HIPAA-grade safeguards. This is not a claim of HIPAA certification.
How do I download my data?
Go to Account settings, open Your data, and choose Email me a download link. We send a secure, one-time link to your email address. It includes your profile, documents, analyses, and purchase history, and it expires after 15 minutes.
How do I delete my account?
Where it is available on your account, open Account settings and choose Delete account, then confirm by email. Once confirmed, deletion is permanent: your bills, analyses, appeals, family members, and chat history are removed straight away. We keep an audit record of the deletion for 6 years, with no name, email, or health information, and the consent records the law requires. If you do not see Delete account, email support@rekupr.co.
